Photovoltaic (PV) Modules - Transportation Testing - Part 1: Transportation and Shipping of Module Package Units
Also Known As:
IEC 62759-1:2022 is a standard that focuses on the shipping and transportation of PV module package units. The standard offers techniques for modeling the movement of these modules and the ensuing effects on the environment. It is crucial to remember that this standard's second version replaces the one that was first released in 2015 and contains a number of critical technical updates.
The deletion of testing and references to pertinent standards for concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) modules are a couple of the major changes in this edition. The requirement for a minimum of 10 modules per shipping unit has also been eliminated, along with the various classes for PV modules. Stabilization is now a required intermediate measurement in the standard, and pass/fail criteria have been included. Revisions have also been made to the dynamic mechanical load test's requirements for retesting and the number of cycles.
