Standard EN SamplePhotovoltaic system performance - Part 3: Energy evaluation method
Also Known As:
The standard IEC TS 61724-3:2016 (E) describes a procedure for assessing the energy efficiency of solar systems. The standard offers instructions on how to gauge and evaluate a particular PV system's energy output in light of the real weather conditions it encounters. The main objective is to compare the system's measured electrical energy output with the expected output for the same system.
The standard distinguishes between periods during which the PV system is in operation (available) and those during which it is not (unavailable). It includes a statistic for calculating the system's availability. This standard aims to create a standardized process for evaluating how well a PV system produces energy in comparison to its projected performance based on actual weather conditions.
It's important to note that this version of the standard includes the corrigendum from February 2018.
